Final 48 Hours!

Greetings All!
We are in the last 48! Technically 38 Hours, because I’m an exhausted goose and was going to wait for the next stretch goal.
I pretty much collapsed after answering comments and prepping for the post today. So, happily back at it, getting to messages and follow ups. I’ll likely be here for the duration now, much to my puppy’s chagrin. But if you need absolutely anything, don't hesitate to ask.
There will likely be multiple updates in the next 38 hours. It's going to be a massive push, and I am forever grateful to be in a position to be making them.
Project I Love: The Secret Art of Game Mastery
I met DMLair at GaryCon this year and we’ve stayed in touch. I was lucky enough to play a game with Luke this past weekend (shoutout to our DM Darryl) and we were definitely a strong dash of chaos. Testing our DM’s limits and trying to keep the party moving.
Darryl handled it like a champ, but I definitely could not have. That’s why I’m happy something like this exists! We discussed it and from the preview, I am definitely going to be gettin it. It’s already fully funded and tearing through its stretch goals.

Back from GenCon & Under 60 Hours Left!

Greetings All!
This weekend was my third GenCon, and I cannot overstate how incredibly lucky I have been in my experiences at this amazing convention. Seeing people practice with the prototype cards, meeting other creators (both new and old), and finally being able to interact with pals from the corners of the internet.
I don’t take compliments well, but for those who took the time to share and celebrate my accomplishments, I cannot thank you enough. It meant the world to me. I know it’s not all luck, but I can't help but be humbled by the support.
I arrived back just in time to spend some quality time with the family and pup before diving back in for the last 60 hours! I’ll be running through outstanding messages and comments as quickly as I can.
(Much Love to my pals stuck in Indy due to the Weather!)

I couldn’t be more excited for this. I truly hope more people find this as something they adore. Not to undersell it, but this is massive for a solo project like mine. It’s very much appreciated.
Gencon 2023!
I’m at GenCon, I’m visiting pals and have two big things going on for this weekend. Both those are brokendown below!
I was able to do a local test print of some of the newer and older items from the campaign decks for my pals Antonio (PointyHat), Ginny Di, Kelly & Monty (Dungeon Dudes), and Will (DnDShorts) which is just bonkers to say. They are hosting a large-scale 60 player adventure and I will have 12 Decks floating around for test playing!
I’m excited to pop in and see what works and what doesn’t with a larger style play, especially since some items were tweaked specifically for this game. The test print went off without a hitch (mostly), arriving on time with minimal hiccups, which is encouraging!
GenCon:Item Flyers!
My biggest asset will always be the friends I have made in the industry over the years. I’m incredibly lucky in that regard (humbled daily by that fact).

Project's We Love - Obojima Tales From The Tall Grass: A 5E Campaign Setting
Not to get too sappy, 1985Games are the first industry people I met in person as a small creator at C2E2 in 2020. They took the time to get to know me, we’ve shared too many laughs to count.
They’ve welcomed me with open arms at new conventions, I’ve even worked their booth when short staffed (they are on the flyer list!). I love these guys, and I adore their project. This has been in the works for a while and is getting all of the attention it deserves.

Back with another Monday Update! We’ve smashed the 150k Goal, so we are back with another Unlock and Reveal!

150k: Boon Bundle Unlocked!
The Boons mean even more items! I’m hyped for this! As a refresher, these are designed outside of the regular rarity spectrum, because they are designed around providing assistance. Outside of the balance structure of regular items, give players an ItemBoon.
These are powerful class items meant to enhance the experience at the table with the player’s investment in their character. These objects require more than just standard attunement. They each have a requirement suiting their fickle nature.
Revamping and releasing these is an absolute treat!

There are a lot of items that come into play on map oriented play (Animated Jug, Hans, My Lineage Sword etc.) that could really use some map representation. For this, I reached out to my pal and colleague Darryl of SplatteredInk! They will be crafting top down representations of these and more, including the 3 Patrons added in the previous stretch goal!
These will be included in the Sage & Regular Digital Asset Bundles (and bundles including them.)

What would magic items be without shops to peddle them?
I’ve always been a fan of Item Shops, but I’ve never been great at running them. This resource aims to fix that by giving you a resource in one place!
In Their Words: Phaylen Presents: Spectacular Shops & Services presents 20 fully fleshed-out businesses that offer players more than a transactional experience. With easy-to-read descriptions, interesting NPCs, unique items and quests, these businesses add some life to a town and offer a new experience – shops that further the plot!
Prepping a few surprises for GenCon, but it should be a busy week. I’ll see what I can slip in an update to keep you in the know all the little surprises!

Creator's Deck: 1st Entries!

These should be slipping into updates as often as possible.
I just haven’t had a chance to catch up yet. These creator’s items will be featured in PCloud Storage that you can freely access once established, and it will be getting multiple rounds of edits. These should not be considered balanced until we get some editing passes underway. I would like to take a moment to feature two of the creators now!
1st Creator Deck Entries!
The Process:
Over the past months I’ve been reaching out to Creator’s that I admire or are near and dear to me about making items together. Those that have the interest (and had the free time) have agreed to make an idea into an item with me.
Some sent a sentence or an idea, and others sent a full item breakdown for the creation. From there, I did my best to create something worthy of those creators with art and a small tale. To wrap it up, I placed them onto my card layouts, then handed them over to the creators and you!
Again, some of these need far more balancing than others. They will get updated as we continue onward.
The Creators:
Luke Gygax is the son of Dungeons & Dragons creator Gary Gygax, author, and game designer. Luke is the Founder of Gary Con® and literally grew up at the gaming table, testing many classic products, contributing concepts and content. He played the iconic character Melf and created the dreaded bullywug to the Fiend Folio.
Despite choosing a career in the US Army, Luke authored several role-playing game accessories. Retiring from the Army in 2022 and continuing to create games, accessories and promoting the benefits of roleplaying worldwide through his company Gaxx Worx. Luke lives in Southern California with his beautiful wife, Bouchra and their three daughters.
Will (DnD Shorts) is a content creator and author. He lives in a house that is far too small with a dog that is far too big in the north of England, where he creates videos for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, and publishes the monthly DM's Secret Weapon magazine. He focuses on maximizing the fun and creative potential in roleplaying games, and he is currently working on the upcoming kickstarter Ryoko's Guide to the Yokai Realms alongside Loot Tavern.
Peter Adkison founded Wizards of the Coast in 1990 and was CEO from 1990 – 2001. Under his leadership, WotC published Magic: The Gathering, acquired D&D and Gen Con, and Pokémon. In 2002, Peter acquired Gen Con again. Since finishing film school in 2012, Peter has been developing a fantasy property for media, World of Chaldea. Since early 2022, Adkison has served as executive producer for Gen Con TV (Twitch). Peter is married to Dee Fenton.
Projects I Love: Eren's Arcane Compendium of Characters - The Deck of TTRPG Characters
Full disclosure, this is running on Backerkit. If you have backer a Kickstarter, you likely have an account, and I highly recommend checking out this campaign.
If you did not know, Eren does amazing art. Jaw on the floor style art. Creature’s and People come alive – level of Art. I’ve been a fan for ages from our shared Critter Circles, and these cards are just as breathtaking. You can even get yourself included in the deck, you should be running (not walking) to check this out.
